The End of Days???? Nahhhh

We have this obsession with life and death.  Many of us don't want life to end.  Many of us can't wait for this crap to be over.

I don't get it.  What is the big deal?  Life and death are both a natural part of existence.  I see in the news they're talking about "the end" happening in May now because some religious group has some calculations concocted from the bible.  Then, I also see there's concern over a recent incident where birds fell from the sky in Arkansas and about a hundred thousand fish died (one species).  Ugh!

With the economy the way it is.  My love life in the toilet.  My family about as loving as a pet rock.  I would welcome either one lol.  But to be honest, I know that anything in this world that is of form... anything that has substance to it, will not last forever.  We all know this planet will not last forever.  My cat will not live forever.  I will not live forever.  I am okay with that... we're not supposed to live forever.  What would be the point?

I try to take the time that I have been given, and I never know when that time will come to an end, and I live life, touch hearts and minds, pursue passions, chase dreams, and fulfill deep desires and wishes.  I try to help change the world for the better simply by letting the inner light shine through.  I don't care if the world ends in May, or 2012 as the Mayan calendar indicates... why?  How does it indicate it?  Because they were too busy fighting conquistadors and European settlers to finish the damn thing?  Because it was the end of the "long count" calendar?  I've never even SEEN the Mayan calendar and yet I'm supposed to believe everything someone interprets its meaning to be?  Come on people!  Live life.  Worrying servers no purpose... it pretends to serve a purpose... some people THINK they are doing something by sitting and over-thinking the shit out of something, but the only thing it does really is drive you nuts.

So knowing we are all going to die some day, I suggest we spend less time worrying and more time loving.  Stop lying so much and tell the truth.  Stop cheating and instead do something honest and just.  Stop being negative and be more positive.  Do something.  Don't do nothing... for "no thing" ever comes from nothing.

End of the World Predictions (that never happened):

1. 06-06-06 was predicted to be the date of judgment day at one point... nothing happened.
2. Meteorite impact predicted
3. World War III predicted to occur in 2000
4. There was no year 0 and so people prophesized Jan 1, 2001 was the real beginning of the millennium.
5. Overpopulation predicted to occur in 1999 and in 2010
6. The famous Y2K ("millennium bug") that predicted a mass computer outage that would cripple mankind on 1/1/2000

Relationships

"Relationships are all there is. Everything in the universe only exists because it is in relationship to everything else. Nothing exists in isolation. We have to stop pretending we are individuals that can go it alone."

-Margaret Wheatley

"Nothing exists in isolation," and yet so many of us push so hard to be isolated.  I begin this blog with a heavy heart.  Love denied is never an easy thing.  When you give your all to someone and they take it for granted... it can be more exhausting than anything on this planet.  What makes it harder is the agonizing gravitational pull to move on when all you want to do is to do absolutely nothing.  Freeze time.  Stop everything around you.  Stillness.  Yet we, the few, the path-makers, we move onward.  Since we are all connected, I feel no need to pretend my life is private.  My life is an open book, and much of it you can relate to in some way or another because we all experience the same things.  I am no expert and life, love, or relationship.  I speak a truth, not the truth.  The truth I speak is of a life lived through these eyes, journeys forged with these feet, and love unfulfilled inside this vessel.  My words have no age, religion, race, political or gender... they are words.  Thank you for taking the time to read them.
